Better interface, more sharing: Metro UK sees increase in online users

UK free daily Metro (Associated Newspapers) has seen its online use increase with a thrid to more than 730,000 users a day according to the lastest ABC audit data (The Guardian).

According to Metro a redesign of the mobile website and more referrals through social media were resonsible for the rise.

Metro’s chief customer officer, Dominic Rowell: ”mobile audience has increased by 225% and social media referrals have gone up fivefold.”
