Austrian Heute’s circulation to 600,000

More than 600,000 printed copies and almost one million readers for free Austrian daily Heute in 2013.

The new circulation data bij show 618,000 distributed copies on average in the first six months of 2013.

In Vienna 397,000 copies were distributed, in NiederOstereich (St. Pölten) 138,000 and in Oberösterreich (Linz/Wels/Steyr) 82,000.

Heute has shown almost permanent growth since 2004. Only in 2009 a little drop showed after the closure of the Graz edition.


Free competitor Österreich increased free circulation tot 420,000 (315,000 in Vienna), mostly because paid circulation dropped.

Total free circulation in Austria rose to more than one million.
