David Trads to Metro International
The former editor of the ill-fated Danish free paper Nyhedsavisen (2006-2008) will move to Metro International in December according to Danish media (Politiken).
Trads also worked for newspaper Information and is now the American correspondent for Berlingske.
Trads was editor of Nyhedsavisen during the Danish free newspaper bubble (2006-2007) when the number of free newspapers increased to 11 (5 of them national models) and the total circulation to 2 million.
Nyhedsavisen wanted to be the quality newspaper among them (and probably was), but with a huge staff, publishing six days a week and home delivery the paper run into enourmous losses.
