Spainish free circulation drops

The recession resulted in a drop of 27% in free newspaper circulation in Spain.

Metro closed already in 2009, ADN (9 editions) last year.

Market leader 20 Minutos is still distributing 700,000 copies according to the latest Introl research.

Second national free daily Qué! lowered circulation to 586,000 copies (620,000 in 2010).

Apart from those two national titles, some smaller local papers are published while also three economic papers distribute most of their circulation for free.
