Israel Today could lose railway distribution

Screen shot 2010-10-28 at 9.29.19 PMThe contract between leading Israeli free daily Israel Yahom (Israel Today) and Hedria Train Media, the company that owns the advertising franchise at Israel Railways, is expiring this Sunday.

So far, no new contract has be singed as the paper wants to pay less than the previous year.

Globes also reports that another free daily – perhaps a new launch by Yediot Ahronot – could replace Israel Today. Both papers are battling for the top position as Israel’s best read paper.
