Mobile interactivity at Spits

Paperboy-PhotoDutch free daily Spits (Telegraaf media Group) will introduce mobile service Paperboy on October 1 for smart phones whereby readers can take a picture of a page an get extra information of offers online.

The service, developed by Swiss entrepreneur kooaba, consists of software installed on a smartphone. The uses can just scan any page – not special codes – to get the extra online offers.

The extra’s can be editorial (photo’s, information) or commercial (special offers, websites). The Paperboy software will work on iPhones and Android smart phones.

Swiss free daily 20 Minuten earlier introduced the kooaba interactive feature (see previous post) while also Swiss free daily Blick am Abend is ready for Paperboy. In Switzerland, also many paid newspapers and magazines offer the service.
