New boxes for Dutch free dailies
Usually all free dailies have their own ‘branded’ newspaper boxes and racks to distribute papers.
In some cases, local authorities or public transport operators prefer the ‘one-box’ system were all papers use the same sort of box, only branded with a logo – something publishers don’t like at all.
The boxes on the left (click for better view) are the first – and so far only ones – I spotted in the Netherlands. The picture was taken in Leiden were Metro and De Pers were distributed in the same boxes. Also in Amsterdam, on Station Bijlmer there are – unused – new boxes.
