Politico’s print profits

politicoWashington based website / free newspaper Politico realized a revenue of $20m in 2009 and made an operating profit of one million last year according to PaidContent.

Although Politico is an online operation mainly, the print edition brings in most of the revenues: $11.3 in 2009 against $7.3m for the online edition.

In 2008 this was $7.8m against $3.5m; in 2007 $3.6m against $400,000.

The owner of Politico, Allbritton Communications (ACC), will change its corporate structure, so 2009 will probably be the last break out of separate results for Politico.
