Marseille free Xmas paper

The spirit of Chrismas is distributed in the French town of Marseille with a free one-off ‘Vivre Noël’ paper.

The paper that has the looks of a regular free daily – three of those, Metro, Plus & 20 Minutes are published in the city – was distributed with a circulation of 55,000.

The paper was an initiative of the Catholic church and the Bayard Group, publisher of newspaper La Croix, while there are also plans to launch similar papers in other cities.

The paper is distributed near metro stations, the main train station, Christmas markets and at the church entrances on Sunday. (La Croix)
