Regional editions for De Pers

Dutch free daily De Pers will introduce four regional editions after the summer targeted at Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht.

The free daily recently cut down circulation to 200,000 and stopped distribution outside those four Western Dutch metropolitan areas after it closed an advertising deal with Wegener, the dominant publisher of regional dailies in the Netherlands.

Wegener has no papers in Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam and Utrecht. Jointly Wegener and De Pers cover now an area from the south-west (province of Zeeland) to the east (province of Overijssel) including the four biggest cities.
