Research on Austrian newspaper market
Together with my colleague Josef Seethaler, I wrote a chapter for “Die österreichische Medienlandschaft im Umbruch“, a book edited by Birgit Stark and Melanie Magin. In “Supporting Concentration or Promoting Diversity? The Impact of Free Dailies on the Austrian Newspaper Market” we track the influence of the introduction of free dailies in Austria, probably the most monopolistic newspaper market in Europe with Kronen Zeitung dominating the scene.
