mX Brisbane enters third year

The Brisbane edition of free Australian afternoon paper mX celebrated its second birthday in the beginning of this month.

The paper is enjoying a growing readership – 139,000 in December 2008, with female readers now making up 52.5% of the readership according to editor Chris Jones, quoted in MediaWeek. It is now the second best read newspaper in Queensland.

The paper is the third mX edition after Melbourne and Sydney launched in 2001 and 2005. Total circulation of the paper by News Limited is around 230,000. Nationwide readership is 700,000 according to a Panorama research.
