Danish free circulation down with 50%

Total circulation of the remaining three Danish free dailies in 2008 was 650,000 daily copies on average according to official auditing organization DO. That’s half of the circulation at the end of 2007: 1,300,000 copies.

Both MetroXpress (227,000) and Urban (203,000) cut their circulation somewhat, while 24timer went down with almost 50% to 200,000. The closure of Nyhedsavisen is responsible for the remaining decline.
