Ex-20 Minutes editor launches Slate France

Johan Hufnagel, the former editor of the online operation 20minutes.fr of the French free daily 20 Minutes, is one of the founders – together is former Le Monde editor Jean Marie Colombani – of the French version of online magazine Slate.

Slate.fr will cover politics, the economy, culture and technology. Slate is owned by the Washington Post. Slate.fr has a deal with telecom operator Orange to sell content. (Editorsweblog)

Mr. Hufnagel left 20 Minutes last summer after a conflict with 20 Minutes editor Corinne Sorin.
