More readers for Swiss .ch

Swiss media website Persoenlich interviewed free daily .ch manager Caroline Thoma 100 days after .ch changed its concept and the way of distribution: more entertainment and no more household distribution.

According to Thoma, readership is already up with 50% to 300,000. The source for this number is not the official Swiss readership survey, but .ch’s own research. The official WEMF Mach Basic 2009-I survey is expected 24 March.

The main goal of .ch, however, is to become the second in the Swiss market after market leader 20 Minuten. Now .ch and News (owned by 20 Minuten publisher Tamedia) are competing for this second position.
