Irish business execs read more than two newspapers on weekdays (35 minutes), watch an hour and a half of television and listen to an hour and a half of radio, according to the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland. IAPI interviewed 480 senior business executives in 2008.

The Irish Times was the most important daily paper; it was cited by 65% of respondents, as against 38% for the Irish Independent and 18% for the Irish Examiner. Free daily Metro is read by 13%, ahead of the Financial Times (12%), and free daily Herald AM (8%). (Sunday Business Post)
