Portland Daily Sun planned

The network of free local ‘Sun‘ dailies in on the North-Eastern corner of the USA (New Hampshire, Maine) will expand this or next month with an edition in Portland. So far there were editions in Conway, Berlin and Laconia (NH).

The new Portland edition, the Portland Daily Sun, will launch this month or in February, according to Mark Guerringue, publisher of the Conway Daily Sun. One editor (Curtis Robinson) and two reporters will work for the paper. (free-daily.com)

The Conway Daily Sun started in 1989, the Berlin Daily Sun five years later, the Laconia edition was launched in 2000. Joined circulation is around 35,000 copies.
