Job cuts at Metro France

Free daily Metro in France will reduce its workforce with “less than a dozen” of the 140 people working for the paper. Among the ones to go is Caroline Brun, the chair of the journalist’s committee at the paper according to AFP. The contract of Caroline Brun expired and was not renewed.

Metro launched in 2002 in France and is owned for 34% by commercial broadcaster TF1. In total 9 editions are published in France.
