20 Minutes asks for transparency on press subsidies

Pierre-Jean Bozo, managing director of 20 Minutes France is asking for more transparency on the press subsidies that French newspapers receive.

In total subsidies amount to €1.3 billion – €285 million is in direct aid according to Le Point.

20 Minutes want the same treatment – and probably subsidies – that paid papers get. This would include distribution through newsstands and the same tax regime.
