Washington Examiner outsources printing

The free daily Washington Examiner (by Philip Anschutz’ Clarity Media) will close its printing plant next month. As a result more than a 100 people will lose their jobs.

The move was made to cut costs and to allow the printing of more full-color pages, which was impossible in the old printing plant.

Printing will be outsourced to two printing plants in Frederick and Harford County. (Baltimore Business Journal)
