Politico shares content

U.S. political website / free daily Politico has signed up content-sharing contracts so far with more than 100 clients, 67 of those are newspapers.

Most of the papers – including The Star-Ledger (Newark), The Plain Dealer (Cleveland) and The Times-Picayune (New Orleans) – will use the content on their websites.

Papers can use the content of Politico in exchange of a part of advertising revenues the articles attract.

Politico is three times a week distributed in Washington, D.C. It plans to expand to four days per week in print and increase circulation from 26,000 to 32,500 in 2009. (E&P via EJC)
