Dutch special Obama edition
Metro Holland published the special US election edition this afternoon that will be distributed in 150,000 copies at main railway stations. (click on picture for bigger view)
As almost every Dutch (European in fact – see story on Forums4Editors) newspaper is now a morning paper, today’s papers could not report on the actual winner, although all of them predicted Obama to win.
The paper counts 24 pages, with almost 10 pages of advertising, all editorial pages are about the election with news and analysis, a photo spread, a gallery of preceding presidents and people reacting to the news.
Metro interviewed 25 people in the streets this morning and were unable to find a McCain supporter.
The full paper can be downloaded from here.
