The French regional newspaper group Le Dauphine Libere launched avignews.com in Avignon at the end of October.

The brand consists of a 24-page free weekly, with a circulation of 25,000 copies, a website and a four-minute daily news bulletin on the internet.

In Grenoble a similar operation grenews.com is already running.
