European free circulation drops

After the Czech Republic, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Croatia, the Netherlands is the 6th European country where a national distributed free daily closes down (see yesterday’s post).

In Europe circulation of free newspapers is going down for the first time in history. At the end of 2007 it was 27,300,000 – now it’s 27,000,000. A tiny drop, but still (click on picture for better view).

World circulation is still 2% up, mainly because of launches in South America and Asia.
