The NRS Readership survey in the UK over the last three years indicate that only free dailies have seen their readership grow on a regular basis.

Most dailies – The Sun, Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, Daily Record, The Guardian and The Independent – have a rather stable readership, losing less than 5% of their readers over the last years.

The Daily Mirror and The Times both lost 7%. The Daily Express and the Daily Star went down with more than 10%, while the Evening Standard recorded a 20% loss.

Metro went up from 1.9 million readers to 3.1 million (+66%) while also thelondonpaper and London Lite showed an increased readership – although both were only surveyed since the beginning of 2007. (click on picture for better view.)
