Frees in Italy: 4, 5 & 6

All free dailies in Italy have seen their readership grow in the autumn of 2007 and spring of 2008 compared to the same period in 2006/2007. The growth for all titles is 15%.

Audipress audited 10 September – 16 December 2007 and 10 March – 15 June 2008, meaning the whole summer was excluded as were the first months of 2008.

Leggo is with 2.328,000 readers the best-read Italian free daily and the fourth in total after paid papers La Gazzetta dello Sport, La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera.

City and Metro follow on place 5 and 6 with 1,986,000 and 1.934,000 readers. E Polis has a combined free/paid readership of 993,000.

Paid papers La Gazzetta dello Sport, La Repubblica, Corriere della Sera and La Stampa also saw their readership increase. (Audipress)
