Business Journalism on US Spanish dailies

Media website BusinessJournalism covered the Spanish language newspapers in the USA this week. In the analysis some titles are singled out as being good examples of newspapers that not only are important for a community but can also give journalists a good perspective on these communities.

Hoy and Al Día, created by the Chicago Tribune and The Dallas Morning News respectively, have become the heartbeat of Latino communities. They also offer a wealth of information and tips for business journalists at mainstream newspapers.

The article, however, failed to mention that both titles started as paid publications but apparently became only successful after they moved to a free distribution model.
