Sunday Examiner launched

Today the new Sunday edition of the free daily The Examiner (San Francisco, Baltimore, Washington) will be launched. The paper will be available in racks and boxes and will be home-delivered as well.

The Sunday edition replaces the Saturday Examiner edition. Apart from Sunday, also the Thursday edition will be home-delivered. All other days the paper will be available in racks and boxes.

The local edition for the San Mateo County (San Francisco edition) will be closed as well in the operation.

The Sunday edition (Baltimore) will be delivered to 315,000 homes, the Thursday edition will be 236,000 home delivered copies. On both days rack distribution is 20,000. On other days 50,000 are distributed through news boxes, in stores and apartment buildings according to the Maryland Daily Record.

In total, 834,000 copies were distributed in the three markets.
