More readers for Spanish frees

All four national free dailies in Spain gained readers in the last months of 2007 and the first of 2008 compared to previous years (click on graph for bigger picture).

20 Minutos is again the best-read paper with 2,911,000 daily readers; a permanent growth since the first audit in 2002 when the paper had 857,000 readers.

Sports paper Marca is second while paid paper El Paìs and free daily Qué! battle for the third place. El Paìs has only 6,000 readers more between October 2007 and May 2008.

Metro (1,836,000) and ADN (1,812,000) are competing for the fifth place. ADN is by far the fastest climber among the free dailies.
