2nd Buenos Aires free daily planned

On August 1, the Argentine capital Buenos Aires is likely to see a second free daily. Publisher Sergio Szpolski plans new free daily La Mañana to launch that day. Initial circulation would be 250,000 (La Politica Online).

Szpolski also owns magazines like the Spanish version of Newsweek, Buenos Aires Económico, Veintitrés, and Siete Días.

Buenos Aires now has one free daily, La Razon, which is published by the Clarin group. The paper is published in the afternoon with a circulation of 100,000.

In 2000 and 2001 Metro International also published an edition of their paper in Buenos Aires.
