Swiss free dailies ad share 24%
Swiss dailies had a total ad revenue of 1,341 million Swiss Francs (€826m) in 2007, free dailies were responsible for 316m of this (24%). Of the total ad revenue in Switzerland free dailies took a 5% share.
Sunday papers had 202m revenue while local weeklies realized a revenue of 220m.
In total Swiss ad revenues increased with 4.1% compared to 2006. Print media increased with 5%. The printed media still take the major part (43%) of the ad revenues in Switzerland. (Persoenlich)
