Prizes for Free California dailies
The yearly San Francisco Peninsula Press Club journalism prizes went for an important part to free dailies serving the Greater Bay Area (California).
In the category circulation below 75,000, the San Mateo Daily Journal won no less than 23 prizes. The Palo Alto Daily News came in second, it won for instance the ‘general excellence’ prize and also in several other categories. The San Francisco Daily was a runner up with three 3rd places.
