April fool’s issue 15 min
Lithuanian free daily 15 min published a very special issue on April 1: fool’s day. The issue contained no photos, only drawings. The special issue can be downloaded from the archive (Archivas) on the paper’s website.
Creative director Tomas Bindokas said about the issue: “Our purpose was to surprise our young readers – instead of real photos we used drawn pictures, cartoons and comics strips on that special day. We hired four painters. They were redrawing real photos into pictures with some humor interpretation. They made around 60 pictures. The paper came out really cute, nice and exceptional. We received a lot of calls from readers. They praised us for a great and original idea.”
