Swiss battle undecided yet
Swiss media watchers are convinced that the market is not big enough for the last two additions to the Swiss free market: .ch and News, as both target the same group. According to the Persoenlich newsletter, of of them has to go “in the next recession.”
The first last launch, .ch was said to be distributed to households but public transport distribution seem to be at least as important. Distribution, however, still is a weak point for the paper.
News is seen as profiting from the greater editorial force of the publishers behind the operation were .ch is running as an independent company. As News is seen as a spoiler product, it is expected that it will close down within two months when .ch will.
Still no readership or official circulation data are available for both papers.

I bet, at least two of them will vanish before mid 2009…
