Free daily TheSun in Malaysia had an average circulation in the period July 2006 - June 2007 of 256,000 copies. In the same period in 2005/2006 circulation was 175,000. TheSun is the second English language paper in the country.
Paid English dailies The Star (309,000) and the News Straits Times (140,000) remained stable while The Malay Mail (21,000) lost circulation.
Of the Chinese language papers Sin Chew Jit Poh is still the most circulated with 336,000 copies. (Publicitas newsletter)
