Metro France has taken over the no.1 position from 20 Minutes in France. Metro distributed 778,000 copies per day in the first half of 2007, against 754,000 copies for 20 Minutes. Over 2006/2007 20 Minutes had a slight advantage: 745,000 against 731,000 for Metro.

Direct Soir distributed 468,000 copies. Matin Plus 411,000 copies. The other Plus papers (Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Montpellier) distributed almost 250,000 copies in 2006/2007 according to OJD.
