New Swiss free daily: News
The joint effort by Swiss newspapers Basler Zeitung, Berner Zeitung and Tages-Anzeiger for a new free daily is called News. It will count 24 editorial pages and will have a joint circulation of 330.000. The content will be 80 percent wire copy while there will be 24 journalists working for the paper. Distribution is through boxes and handing out copies. Launch is expected in 2007 while the news portal will be introduced next year. (Persoenlich)
