Israel Today shaping up, Israeli gaining readers
According to Globes, the new free Israeli newspaper Israel Today signed a contract that would secure distributed in most Egged bus stations. Complicating fact however, is that incumbent paper Israeli also has a contract with Egged. The Jerusalem Post has profile of Dudi Weissman, on of the other possible parties to launch a free daily in Israel. The ‘exposure’ (readership) of Israeli has risen from 11.4% in the last six months of 2006 to 12.3% in the first six months of 2007 according to the latest TGI survey. Yediot Ahronot’s exposure rate was 39.3% against 39.6% in the second half of 2006. (Globes)
