St. Petersburg readership
Two years after the conversion to a Metro franchise, the St. Petersburg Metro reaches 611,000 weekly readers, which makes it the best read daily in the city. Circulation of Metro is 400,000. Two weeklies are, however, read by even more people. Moi Rayon, a free weekly owned for 67% by Schibsted, has 769,000 readers while the paid weekly Argumenty i Fakty has 731,o00 weekly readers. Moi Rayon, with a circulation of 430,000 copies reaches 20% of the population. In September 2006 a Moscow version of Moi Rayon was launched. Current circulation in Moscow is 313,000 – by the end of the summer 2007 it will be expanded to 512,000.
