La Estrella goes weekly
Free daily Diario La Estrella (Dallas-Ft. Worth) has gone back to weekly publication from last weekend (March 23) on. According to the publisher, strong demand for weekend advertisements is the cause of the change. In September 2003 the semi-weekly that was launched in 1994, went daily. Last year the Knight Ridder paper was bought by McClatchy. Circulation will double to 40 to 50,000. Competitor Al Dia, by leading newspaper the Dallas Morning News has a daily circulation of around 45,000.
