Adelson: Israel Today or Ma’ariv
US billionair Sheldon Adelson is again trying to buy Hebrew newspaper Ma’ariv through his Newsco media company. Adelson is still involved in a legal battle on free daily Israeli with his co-owner Hirsch Media (Shlomo Ben-Tzvi). If the Ma’ariv deal is closed, Adelson will probably drop the idea of launching the new competing free daily Israel Today. A Newsco spokesman denied the Ma’ariv plans and said Adelson was still planning the new free daily.
