Free competition in Boston
Russell Pergament, ex-publisher of Metro Boston and of AM New York, is planning Boston Now, a second free daily for Boston that will launch in September. Icelandic Media Company Dagsbrun is financing Boston Now according to the Boston Globe. Dagsbrun is also publisher of free daily Frettabladid in Iceland and of door-to-door Danish free daily Nyhedsavisen. Dagsbrun is said to have plans for other US cities too.
