Ringier free daily in Serbia

Already in September 2006 Swiss publisher Ringier launched a free daily in the Serbian capital Belgrade. The daily 24 sata (24 hours) shows some similarities to other Ringier free dailies in eastern Europe: 24 Hodin (Czech Republic) and Compact (Rumania). In Switzerland Ringier publishes free dailies Heute and Cash Daily. The 150,000 copies of 24 sata are distributed mostly through bus stations. Ringier also publishes tabloid Blic, the second paid paper in Belgrade (circulation 120,000) so 24 sata is already the second paper in Belgrade after government controlled Vecemje Novosti.
